Ever noticed that the phase of the moon can really mess around with some things? Kids get cranky, electronics act up, all the weirdos come out of the woodwork. I'd love to blame the moon for this gihumongous case of writers block I have, but I don't think I'd get away with it, since this has been going on for a couple of months.
I sometimes wonder if I've written myself out. Have I exhausted my writers supply?
Is there any hope of ever enjoying opening my Word program again? Ever?
(Insert overdramatic sigh here!)

Weston, maybe it's time to do something that FILLS you. You've been drained for a long time. Time to fill you up. You can't give when theres nothing to give.
Hugs Michelle
It's the moon!
Maybe you are a werewolf LOL.
Okay...I can relate. Some days I just do not want to write. And well, you can force it, but then that's no fun. Maybe just open Word and write a letter to someone and see where the letter leads...
Or just give yourself permission to chill...
Look out! It's me. I'm out of the woodwork... ;)
You will open it again and you'll fill it with thousands of great words. I'm with Noble on this one, you just need to refill your well. You've been through a lot of tough emotional stuff (even if it's been happy) and that takes a bite out of anyone. Refill and you'll see it all come pouring out.
My sister gave me a clock that says "Blank Page, I shall THWART thee!"
I think it's ironic because I see how much "time" I'm wasting looking at that thing. ;)
Try this: Write a Haiku. 5-7-5. That could be a short, easy accomplishment to jumpstart you.
How do you start? Think of a word. Pull one from the comments, like: FILL, GIVE, MOON, WEREWOLF, EMOTION, etc. Then follow the formula and let the words flow.
Or go read something which will grab you. Have you read either of my short stories? I'll bet they will make you feel better. :)
Weston,
I recently attended the UVU writer's conference, and I won your plotting workbook in the raffle. Thanks so much for donating them, so I could win. I'm in the first quarter of my first novel, and this will come in very handy. I'm excited to dive in, and straiten out a few things I already know are inconsistent in my writing.
Thanks for all the encouragement, folks!
And thanks, Kim, for letting me know! I'm so excited for you - and I hope the workbook helps tons!
